The INR is too high. This could be due to an excessive dose of warfarin or co-existing liver function abnormality. I would recommend that you contact your doctor as soon as possible for advice. If you note any bleeding from any site, go to the nearest ER.

No, you are overdose of Warfarin. With mechanical mitral valve, you are taking Warfarin to keep INR around 2.5 -3.5. Sometimes, your diet changes, i.e. your intake of vitamin K from foods is low the current dose of Warfarin becomes too high. Liver disease causes high INR but it does not apply in your case who have to take blood thinner, a vitamin K antagonist, for artificial mechanical valve.
