Are they?!?: Lumineers are porcelain veneers. Though not a fan, personally or professionally, the major concern should not be cost, but rather longevity. At 23, you have a life expectancy of ~85 years, veneers average 12-15 years of use them need to be replaced. That's 4-5 times in your life. Think about it!

No: They really shouldn't be, because as stated previously, they are porcelain veneers. There is only on billing code for porcelain veneers, so in all likelihood the dentist will one have one fee regardless of the "brand" of veneer he is placing. As also stated above they may need to replaced over time. If you do get them, highly consider wear a night guard to protect them and your other teeth.

Not sure...: Lumineers are a brand of porcelain veneer. They are made in specific laboratories which have paid for training and use of the lumineer brand. Certainly other porcelains can obtain wonderful results. The most important factor is the dentist, period. If you have an interest in veneers i would recommend seeking online reviews. I would recommend speaking with friends....

Lumineers veneers: Lumineers is just a brand name of a veneer made by a specific lab. There are other no-prep veneer brands that are just as good and may not require as many steps. Get a consult from your dentist to see whats best for you.

No: Many times they actually are less expensive. I personally find that other options are more lifelike and natural looking than lumineers. Their second generation is better, but still limited. In my hands i prefer emax veneers layered with porcelain. When done correctly they are almost indistinguishable from natural teeth.

Veneer costs: Lumineers is simply a brand of minimal prep or no prep ceramic veneers. There are many companies that make these. The prices vary based on your area and dentist. Sometimes these can be pricey due to the marketing costs that lumineers puts into their production. You really need to see your dentist to see if you are a good candidate for these style restorations.
