Stress can cause "stomach knots" as the intestines are connected to your brain/state of mind via the vagus nerve. It would be a good idea to see a MD to make sure there is not an alternative physical cause for the the problem

It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. Stress could lead to muscle tension and cause your symptoms. If the pain worsens, or you get fever, it would be prudent to see a doctor. Wish you good health!
