A member asked:

I had an mri scan on my bowel - i have crohn's disease. the dr says there is some inflammation present even though i've had no symptoms for months, in fact i feel the best ever in more than a decade. how accurate are mris? could it be wrong?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

MRI is highly accurate, and shows presence of lingering pathology, but you can certainly experience remissions in Crohn's disease. Your doctor's job is to maintain that remission, so, listen closely to recommendations and follow advice.
