I often sleep for 5 hours, then i wake up for no reason and cannot get back to sleep for another 2-3 hours. to get 8 hours sleep, i need to have 10 hours set aside. i don't think counseling or sleeping pills help. what should i do?

Write down the pattern of your sleep along with any time frame when things differed. Take that narrative with you to a visit where you discuss the problem so you don't forget details.
