Painful and frequent urination are the most common. Less common is pain in the lower abdomen, urinating often at night, cloudy urine or urinating only small amounts of urine. If you’re experiencing fever, pain on one or the other side of your back or overall feeling weak with chills, it may be a kidney as opposed to a bladder infection - much more serious. Agree with Dr. Lentchek and would add potenyial foul smelling urine as possible symptom of UTI,with or without any symtomoms of burning or frequency of urination. Like to advise: wear cotton underpants, avoid thongs, avoid constipation, take showers rather than baths, no bubble bath & always empty bladder after sex. Good Luck
