Jak2 v617f at 0.1%, jak2 ex 12 borderline, bcr-abl negative, calr negative, slightly high wbc and neutophil counts on last 3 tests, all other counts in normal range. would a bone marrow biopsy be necessary and/or give a specific reason?

Marrow biopsy probably makes sense to evaluate myelodysplasia. If recommended by your doctor, especially a hematologist/oncologist, for sure do it. Why not? It's not a fun procedure, but no big deal -- no more painful or stressful than many dental visits. Follow your doctors' advice.
