Is it dangerous for someone with esophogeal divrticula to get an endoscopy done?

All invasive procedures are potentially relatively safe if usual procedures are followed, but no 100% guarantee of perfection. Likely endoscopy is advised due to need to visualize the area of abnormality, and therefore benefit would outweigh risk.
