Although pro BNP is useful in the diagnosis of heart failure, no single test is the final word in this diagnosis. A detailed history, a careful examination and ancillary testing are essential for a full evaluation. Also remember that a physician doing a full evaluation may also initiate appropriate treatment without delay. I wish you good luck.
