With all your chronic conditions, especially the heart failure and diabetes, it’s not an issue of “safe” versus “not safe” but rather “risk / benefit”. Don’t know how bad your back condition is or how urgent the operation is. Yor need to speak with your physicians, especially Cardiology and Endocrinology

Agree with Dr. L. If you diabetes is controlled, then it's important to see your cardiologist if you decide to go ahead with the surgery, to see if there are things that can be done to optimize your heart function prior to the back surgery.
