I recommend consulting a specialist in the orthopedic department or department of podiatric surgery at a university hospital near you. Describe your problem when you call for the appointment to learn which department is best for your problem & bring pertinent records. Collaboration with an infectious disease specialist there would be helpful.

You should definitely see an orthopedic surgeon. This should preferably be a foot and ankle orthopedic specialist or a trauma orthopedic specialist. You could have chronic bone infection.
