You need to learn the skillset needed to do so. Often a few sessions with a life coach/therapist can begin to teach you how to put such issues into perspective and move beyond them. They can sometimes help reveal why you go to such dark thoughts to begin with. Your regular doc likely knows someone in your area that can help.
