Radiologists study 4 years of high school, 4 years of college, 4 years of medical school and then 3-5 years of Residency/fellowship. During this time they are given ample time to learn all the skills needed to actually perform all the tests they will be reading including CT, MRI, etc. Once licensed/Board Certified, they usually focus on reading images and doing interventions.
