I am currently in the middle of a 7 days valacyclovir and augmentin treatment for, respectively, a cold sore and an ear infection. i am scheduled to get my second dose of pfizer vaccine tomorrow. is that safe?

You can safely be vaccinated on schedule. (For future oral hereps outbreaks, ask your doctor about a single 2-gram dose valacyclovir, which is CDC's recommendation. It's just as effectie as taking the drug for several days.)

Would probably delay 2nd dose by 3-4 days. With some other vaccines concomitant viral infection depresses the immunogenicity of the new vaccine. Unknown if this applies to coronavirus vaccines also, but is plausible. Little harm in delaying for 3-4 days
