Suspected parotid tumor and currently waiting on biopsy- but swelling/pain has gone away after cutting out alcohol and increasing fluids. is there possibility it's just a blockage? why would swelling/pain in tumor area suddenly go away in a day?

There can be benign and cancerous Parotid gland it tumors.A common problem is a salivary duct stone which when the stone passes the swelling and pain can go away suddenly. See your physician for diagnosis and treatment
