A bone age study (wrist/hand x-ray) is the gold standard for determining growth potential. There are decades of study verifying the value in predicting/verifying that linear growth is possible or not. There are standards for such x-rays from infancy up to adulthood at 6 month intervals. If the growth centers in your wrist/hand are closed so are those in your other bones (legs). You are done.
