A member asked:

My endocrinologist says cold temp. can't cause low glucose. but can cold hands cause low readings because of blood flow constriction or something?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not likely: People who have extreme blood flow constriction in their hands related to raynauds phenomenon or cardiovascular shock, where their fingertips are blue, can have a fingerstick sugar that is incorrectly low. If your fingertips are pink, it should not occur.
