I have be. is famotidine 20mg twice daily safer than omeprazole 20mg once daily? i have moved between the two - both control symptoms. but will famotidine twice daily prevent be progressing? i wont know until endoscopy at the end of the year?

Omeprazole is a proton-pump inhibitor. Famotidine is a H-2 blocker. PPI’s are generally considered to be more effective than H-2 blockers for Barrett’s Esophagus, but please discuss what’s best for you with your Gastroenterologist.
