How safe is a 2nd methotrexate injection after an ectopic pregnancy and how long should one wait before trying to fall pregnant again ?

If a serum HCG test is negative after the second methotrexate injection, it is best to wait until a normal period occurs, and then have a hysterosalpinogram (HSG) prior to again attempting pregnancy, to evaluate whether your tubes are open. Consult your gyn provider for advice on further treatment if necessary.
