The first dose of methotrexate for ectopic pregnancy did not work. they drew blood 2x since 1st dose, level went up. was given another dose, what now?

Medical abortion: Methotrexate use may not cause abortion if adminstered too late. A second attempt may also not work to terminate the pregnancy. In these cases, a surgical abortion can be safely done to ensure termination of pregnancy, but see your health care professional without delay for advice as to timing.
