I gave birth 27 days ago and tummy bug since two days ago. ive taken 6 tabs of imodium. i have no warning of needing to go to the loo, so it just happens and i dont make it to the bathroom. im breastfeeding and dont think i can take more imodium ?

Get tested salmonella and other bugs. . I am not a fan of Imodium because it slows the gut so takes longer to eliminate bugs. It does not go substantially into breastmilk.. Would consider activated charcoal capsules ( safe) and /or probiotic ( which are generally thought as safe in breast feeding) , especially Florastor but please discuss with the pediatrician before starting
