A member asked:

I gave birth csection 78days ago if i fully breastfeeding and take pop(mini pill)n theperfect way at the same time everyday how much effective it'll b?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Should be effective: Congratulations on your new baby! Oral pills have about a 9% failure rate in the first year of use. However, for a woman who has delivered her baby recently and is breastfeeding the chances of getting pregnant on the mini pill are even lower if taken regularly and on time. Keep in mind that the pill can only prevent pregnancy and use of condoms to prevent STDs is still needed.
