This isn't normal, but usually it's not a serious problem. It doesn't indicate HPV or cancer risk. However, inflammatory changes on Pap smear sometimes is due to infection, especially STIs like gonorrhea or chlamydia. Discuss with the doctor or clinic where the Pap was done. Good luck.
