This is a possible DVT . Please see your PCP right away. Fluids and staying well hydrated is important generally.

Agree this is an urgent problem. She could have a blood clot, and if leg is red, could even have a cellulitis developing. Needs urgent evaluation - in the interim keep in bed with leg elevated. If develops ANY respiratory symptoms such as difficulty breathing or chest pain, get to ER immediately.
