Pleural fluid: Can result from pleuritis (or pleurisy), pneumonia, pulmonary embolus/infarction, congestive heart failure, cancer, injury (sometimes iatrogenic), intra abdominal abscess. As you can see, nothing good. Have your doctor take a careful look at it..
