A member asked:

Ct scan report shows mass lesion in liver. these do not show any obious early contrast wash out on subsequent phase image it shows central non enhancing scar please tell me about this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sometimes CT scans of the liver are done with subsequent wash out phases to look for liver hemangiomas which are benign growths in liver related to blood vessels. In your case, it sounds like a mass lesion was found which is highly concerning. Please follow up with physician that ordered the study as cancer will need to be ruled out.
