A member asked:

Ia it okay to pain my babies nursery at 18 weeks? will the paint fumes cause any harm?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It should be. Paints used in homes today are usually latex/water based with no risk of lead exposure or petroleum fumes. The fumes generated during application & drying are minimal & not toxic to a fetus. Every individual may react more or less to these so a plan to keep the space well ventilated and possibly time away during drying would be recommended when possible.
