Usually: a spill of volatile liquids such as Pain Thinner (Probably Turpentine) usually results in only temporary irritation! In an open room and when promptly cleaned there will be no future effects! (BTW "smelling it" afterward is common!! . Just be sure it's all cleaned up and VENTILATE the area if possible) Hope this is helpful Dr Z
