2 month old infants tipically sleep 15 hours a day, but usually in short bursts of about 3-5 hours. This is both normal and healthy. If you notice that they do not wake up when it is time to feed, and their weight is decreasing, this may be worth discussing with a pediatrician.

This is not unusual when the baby goes through its first growth spurt, usually at 6-8 weeks. Usually within a week the baby will be more wakeful again. If feeding well and no fever, acting otherwise normal other than the sleeping, nothing to worry about.
