: You can try just plain old Vaseline put on with a q-tip. If the Ayr gel works, you can use that repeatedly. However, if the mupirocen works, I wouldn't worry about it being an antibiotic. You are using small amounts just inside your nose, and this will not disrupt your body's microbial environment.
