I have had white patches in my mouth for about 3 weeks and a little bit ago i went to the dr and was told it was my allergies but it hasn't gone away what could it be?

White patches can be a sign of thrush, a yeast infection. If it's on the tongue, it could be coating caused by an accumulation of mouth debris& bacteria. White patches in the mouth can be leukoplakia which is cause by smoking or other irritants. At your age it would be considered benign. I'm unsure that true allergies are your problem. Consult otolaryngologist or oral surgeon for diagnosis & care

Just make sure , it is not burns from eating hot food and it should be painful .Also rule out ,you are not bitting on your check or you have white patches on Tongue which can be plaque deposit and can be removed by Tongue blade . Using tongue Blade to scrap plaque from Top of Tongue is routine after brushing . If you rule out all the above ,it appears to be Lichen planus ,which will come and go .
