Answer: The gym can potentially make things worse in two separate ways: First off, any sort of workout can increase bronchospasm and wheezing, and could turn some unpleasant wheezing into a medical emergency. Second off, sweating can increase the discomfort of hives. As this answer is being generated 5 hours after your question, hopefully you've seen a doctor if things got any worse.

Depends: Do you have a known allergy to fish or shellfish? Do you have a history of exercise induced anaphylaxis? How long ago was your reaction? If you are experiencing wheezing, probably not a good idea to go to the gym as exercise can induce asthma symptoms. See an allergist for further evaluation of seafood allergy/ anaphylaxis.
