Hi, my son is 4 months and started teething when he was 2 months . i tried a couple teething gels and nothing seems to help . what can i use to soothe his gums as he is quite cranky?

Teething rings that can be frozen seem to work quite well. You can even use a frozen moist towelette if the rings are not available.

Don't be shocked! The eruption cyst over a new tooth pushes against the gum above as the tooth erupts. The pressure causes the pain. If you increase the pressure greatly and stretch the tissue it will hurt, and then will come relief. Take something that tastes strongly, put it on your finger tip and then press hard on the sore area, the tears and taste will be associated with the curative.
