Does omeprazole 20mg reduce all acid or just some acid?

Omeprazole would decrease stomach acid but not entirely eliminate it. You need stomach acid to digest food but it can also cause stomach ulcers, inflammation of the lining of the stomach, etc. So, decreasing the amount of acid produced would help with these problems. If you continue to experience symptoms, see your doctor. Good luck!
