May not be reflux: Symptoms which are often blamed on reflux may be due to other problems. 1% of the population is resistant to ppi type medications which could explain Omeprazole resistance. Omeprazole at standard doses often just isn't enough medication. A large hiatal hernia or severe obesity can lead to refractory disease too. You should see your doctor as refractory reflux warrants endoscopic evaluation.
