A member asked:

41yo male, c-imt revealed no plaque but mean imt 0.803 (99%?). typical bp ~135/85, hdl 48, ldl 160, total 220. no meds, healthy body weight, non-smoker very active (5 days/week exercise 1h+ per session). should i be concerned about c-imt results?

I wouldn't pay any attention to the CIMT - it's great that they saw no plaque, but really, doing the test at all is not recommended. Research has shown that it has no benefit as a screening test. Risk factors in men include age 45+, low HDL (yours is NL), HTN (your bp NL), diabetes, smoking, & significant FH of vascular disease. So you're doing quite well! Your LDL should be less than 160.
