Interdental papilla is the triangle of gum tissue between teeth. If you hav e bone loss and gum recession, with loss of papilla, the resultant void is described as a black triangle. Gum recession is not normal and is not a consequence of aging. It is a sign of periodontal (gum) disease. Please discuss this issue with a gum specialist, a Periodontist, to halt the progression of your gum disease.
