Several times i have choked on my saliva until i passed out. i happens when i attempt to take a breath and saliva is inhaled into my windpipe. i will cough for 15 seconds or less before i pass out. what would cause this? it has happened to me 3 times?

First you need to uncover source of liquid inhaled, and this could be sinus likely, but also consider GERD. You likely have a vasovagal reaction causing syncope as a secondary phenomenon. Contact your doctor, get the causation answers, and this should address consequences.
