Shortness of breath, with cough and drainage. my mouth is always dry. i was exposed to some chemicals at work. could i have chemical pneumonia ?

Maybe, not likely: Although exposure to chemicals can cause airway reactivity a chemical exposure pneumonia is far less common. Also if you had a chemical pneumonia you would most likely be really sick. Common things happen commonly and less dangerous things such as viruses or allergies may be the issue. See your doctor for an exam.

Yes and no: If the cough is chronic (more than a month) definitely it could be related to environmental factors. Dry mouth might be related to cough though. I recommend you get a chest x ray as soon as possible.
