Not sure what you mean by "seeing the baby's heartbeat in my tummy". You can't see (except on ultrasound) the baby's heartbeat. What you are probably seeing is the pulsation of your aorta (the main blood vessel coming out of the heart which extends to the abdomen. This is normal and more prominent in thin people.
