No: It is not normal to be 20 days late. Pregnancy must be ruled out. Other causes for late periods include thyroid problems, high prolactin levels and pcos. If you are not pregnant, these other causes should be evaluated. You may want to get some medication to induce a period before you have a problem with abnormal bleeding.

Symptoms: It is possible to have these symptoms in the absence of pregnancy. Anovulation can cause missed period as well. Go to your doc and discuss it with him.
