Many, many possibilities - “complex regional pain syndrome”, persistent hairline fracture of toe, “premature” osteoarthritis, malposition of tendon, infection of tendon repair, etc, etc. Need to see Orthopedic or Podiatric surgeon, need complete exam (maybe plus MRI) and proceed from there. At 7 months, unlikely to heal spontaneously. At 63 years, may ultimately become very disabling
