It might: Ssris are known to be antidepressants. In patients with bipolar they can tip them into the manic state, so if you've had mania in the past, you need to consult your doctor to discuss your risks and benefits of being on lexapro (escitalopram).

Antidepressant : Antidepressant medication can induce an episode if mania in vulnerable individuals including those diagnosed with bipolar disorder. If their used is needed for comorbof conditions such as ocd an anti manic medication needs to be prescribed as well.
