Adco Emtevir contains two medications: emtricitabine and tenofovir. These are used to treat HIV infections after diagnosis, or to prevent infection after exposure but before diagnosis. It is an effective medication combination and will prevent growth of the HIV virus in your system. Please note that you still need to practice safe sex and avoid high risk encounters to prevent break through.
