The best treatment is to be seen by a periodontist. With a +2 mobility, the prognosis is poor. If the tooth has three roots and has pocketing it may not be worth the time, effort, or money to try to hold onto it. But that again is up to you and your treating specialist. If the inflammation and bone loss is affecting adjacent teeth, no sense thinking twice about removal. Mouthwash/gel will not fix.

OTC's will not fix. +2 mobility indicates serious bone loss. You would be best served by seeing a specialist Periodontist, a bone/gum specialist, for a full evaluation. This nis not a problem treated by a Physician (medical treatment). Problem falls outside of Physician's training/experience. Your problem description indicates that you should see specialist rather than general dentist.
