When was vaccine?: Depending on when the vaccine was and what symptoms you are having, the side effects can last varying amounts of time. Most people seem to have symptoms that last 24 to 48 hours, with some a little longer. Try to rest, drink fluids, and it is generally recommended that if anything, people take acetaminophen (tylenol) rather than ibuprofen for fever and pain. Call your doctor if lasting longer.

COVID 19 vaccine: Agree with Dr. Ungerleider. For most people there is significant improvement in side effects within several days. Hydrate well, rest & consider use of acetaminophen for pain.
