Do most type 1 diabetics eventually go blind?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not most: All diabetics - both type I and type II have an INCREASED RISK for blindness. The worse the blood sugar control, the higher the risk of severe complications- including blindness. Overall, the current risk for blindness in Type I diabetics is about 4% (1 in 25).
