Ive been experiencing sharp chest pain on my left and in the middle of my chest on and off recently. if i try to take a deep breathe at the time, it feels like something is about to tear, should i be concerned?

Chest pain : Chest pain has many concerning diagnoses and many that are not that concerning. How do we decide what is concerning and what is not concerning? We ask questions, do an examination, then we may do testing. Th" which are are some red flag concerning symptoms _meaning investigate for a dangerous clinical situation. One of them is chest tearing. So, with such a complaint a good evaluation is needed.
