Ear popping : Sounds like a Eustachian tube dysfunction, but the discharge is concerning for infection. It is best to have this evaluated by an ENT doctor, if not a primary care doctor is able to help. CSF leak is probably from your google search, these leaks happen usually from major trauma or surgery to the head.

? infection: Agree with Dr Romano. Most likely infection within inner ear, as stated. The fluid can be tested to show it is NOT CSF, which appears to be a trendy diagnosis online, but is actually relatively rare. Return to your doctor and get this handled.
