I dont have current symptoms of bv but do have a history of it. im 15+2 with twins. what are the chances that asymptotic bv can cause me to miscarry? is this a common cause of second trimester miscarriage? and should i be worried? cervix is closed?

BV in pregnancy: It was once believed BV could increase the risk of premature labor, but no suggestion that it causes miscarrige. The main problem of BV in pregnancy is risk of uterine infection after delivery (post-partum endometritis). Although asymptomatic BV is possible, it's unlikely you have it if you don't have abnormal vaginal odor or discharge. Your Ob will be on top of all this: discuss w/ her.
